Design thinking is a creative problem-solving process that prioritizes the consumer’s needs more than anything else. It relies on observing with empathy, how people interact with their environments, and employs an iterative, hands-on approach to creating innovative solutions.

Per The Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford (aka Stanford d. school), the process is iterative, non-linear, and has five phases:
